The College intends to purchase two complementary robotic systems :  Humanoid bipedal robotic platform  Quadrupedal robotic platform 1 . Humanoid Bipedal Robot Platform The College is requesting a humanoid , bipedal robot system suitable for educational and research use with the following minimum characteristics : Mechanical and Locomotion Requirements  Bipedal humanoid locomotion platform  Multi - degree - of - freedom articulated body suitable for dynamic walking and manipulation  Minimum of approximately 30 + degrees of freedom  Capable of full - body dynamic motion and coordinated manipulation  Integrated dexterous hands or manipulators capable of object interaction Sensors and Perception  Integrated sensors for balance , motion , and perception  Support for computer vision and sensor integration  Ability to integrate tactile or force sensing for manipulation tasks
