By extending monitoring capabilities beyond entry points , this technology enhances situational awareness across campus and at large - scale events . System must : • Interact with Verkada camera system • Must detect , at a minimum , firearms and bladed objects • Provide a notification / alert system for administration and emergency responders • Provide 24 - hour , year - round service • Human verified In addition , the platform must include a dedicated team of trained professionals who actively monitor and verify alerts in real time , distinguishing between true threats and false positives before escalation . This human - in - the - loop approach ensures accuracy , minimizes unnecessary disruption , and supports an appropriate and measured response |
