The contractor shall furnish all labor , materials , equipment , and supervision necessary to complete asphalt repair , crack sealing , sealcoating , and line striping services in accordance with industry standards . 1 . Patch and Repair ● Patch and repair all potholes and damaged asphalt areas prior to sealcoating . ● Repairs shall be completed using appropriate hot mix asphalt patch material . ● All repairs must be properly compacted and finished flush with the existing pavement surface . 2 . Crack Sealing ● Clean and seal all cracks in asphalt surfaces . ● Use a compliant crack and joint sealant designed for asphalt pavement . ● Ensure proper adhesion and sealing to prevent water infiltration and further deterioration . 3 . Sealcoating ● Power sweep the entire pavement area to remove dirt , debris , and vegetation prior to sealcoating . ● Prime oil spots to prevent bleed - through of petroleum contaminants . ● Apply two ( 2 ) separate coats of GemSeal Black Diamond Pavement Sealer in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards . ● Only GemSeal - approved additive products shall be used in the sealer mixture . ● Contractor shall provide all necessary traffic control , barricades , and safety measures during application and curing . 4 . Line Striping ● Restripe all parking lot and driveway markings following completion of sealcoating . ● Repaint all handicap parking spaces and markings in accordance with ADA requirements . ● Striping shall be completed with durable traffic marking paint designed for asphalt surfaces .
