Description

Description

To the extent funds are available , the Superior Court would like to expand the services for handling disputes , particularly for small claims and landlord - tenant matters , while still complying with the requirements of DRPA . In particular , the Superior Court would like to expand the mediation time slots in Joshua Tree and explore the possibility of adding a bilingual mediator or bilingual telephonic services . To that end , the successful Proposer ( s ) must have a plan for how the Proposer would seek other revenues and sources of income , such as grants , to augment the County DRPA funding as a base , and increase the ADR services to be provided under an awarded contract . Proposer ( s ) will be required to certify that , pursuant to Business and Professions Code section 470 . 2 , the County ' s share of the funding shall not exceed 50 percent of the approved estimated cost of the program . Pursuant to 16 CCR section 3615 , for the duration of the contract period , a minimum of 51 percent of the Proposer ’ s budget for the contract period must be allocated and expended for dispute resolution services , as defined in the DRPA , which may include collateral services , as defined in the regulations . The proportion of budget allocated to actual provision of ADR services compared to that allocated to administrative expenses will be carefully reviewed as part of the Proposal evaluation and selection process .
