The project begins with full site clearing and grading to prepare the building pad and access areas . Work includes : 1 . Removal and chipping of trees 2 . Excavation and removal of tree stumps 3 . Importing sand and compacting to raise the building pad approximately 12 inches above existing grade 4 . Placement and compaction of 6 inches of 21AA road gravel 5 . Grading to ensure proper stormwater drainage away from the structure 6 . Construction of designated gravel areas including : ü 48 ’ x 60 ’ and 20 ’ x 20 ’ building pads ü 20 ’ x 60 ’ along the building ü 60 ’ x 30 ’ in front of the building ü 20 ’ x 140 ’ driveway access All areas will be compacted to provide a stable base for long - term durability . 2 . Utility Connections Water Service 1 . Excavation and installation of approximately 160 feet of 1 ” plastic water line from the road to the building 2 . Proper trenching , compaction , and backfilling 3 . Water service rough - in with 1 ” backflow prevention 4 . Water line stubbed 5 feet outside the building Sewer Service 1 . Installation of 6 ” SDR - 35 sewer line 2 . Connection to existing sewer main 3 . Saw - cutting and removal of asphalt as needed 4 . Installation and compaction in lifts 5 . Gravel restoration ready for asphalt placement by others 6 . Designed for gravity flow ; includes provision for lift system if gravity cannot be achieved
