Description
Description | Inspections shall be performed annually for each site . The inspection shall include , but may not be limited to , a thorough examination of the pump , engine , priming package , mechanical seals , bearing bracket , and compressor . A complete list of the items that must be inspected is included in the Auxiliary Pump Inspection and Maintenance Checklist . As part of the inspection , the unit shall be operated through one complete pump start and stop cycle to ensure all systems are functioning properly . The MAWSS representative will operate existing primary pumps as required to allow testing to be performed . On higher flow stations where the auxiliary pump is able to complete a start / stop cycle , the pump will be started and monitored for a period of not less than 30 minutes . |
