Services for repairs for Town of Los Gatos Facilities and Fleet Including : Corporation Yard @ 41 Miles Ave ( 3 Buildings ) - 15 - 20 Extinguishers varying sizes Corporation Yard @ 41 Miles Ave , Mechanics shop ( Fleet of 85 vehicles ) 70 - 85 Extinguishers varying sizes Civic Center and Police Headquarters @ 110 E Main St . ( large Complex ) 25 - 30 Extinguishers varying sizes Library @ 100 Villa Ave . 7 - 10 Extinguishers Police Operations Bureau @ 15900 Los Gatos Blvd . 7 Extinguishers All work for the Town requires prevailing wage and registration with the State Department of Industrial Relations ( DIR ). NFPA 10 – Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers Applicable local fire codes and authority having jurisdiction ( AHJ ) requirements . 3 . Annual Maintenance Services The contractor will perform the following services for each fire extinguisher : Conduct a visual inspection to verify : No visible damage , corrosion , or leakage Operating instructions are legible Safety seal and tamper indicator are intact Pressure gauge indicates operable range Verify correct mounting and accessibility Inspect hose , nozzle , and discharge components Check weight and pressure to confirm proper charge Replace tamper seals if necessary Affix a maintenance tag indicating inspection date and technician identification Document extinguisher condition and deficiencies 4 . Deficiency Reporting Any extinguishers found to be damaged , discharged , obstructed , or otherwise non - compliant will be documented and reported to the Town of los Gatos . Recommendations for repair , recharge , hydrostatic testing , or replacement will be provided . 5 . Repairs and Additional Services The following services , if required , will be quoted or approved separately unless otherwise included in the agreement : Extinguisher recharge or refill Hydrostatic testing Replacement of defective parts Replacement of non - repairable extinguishers Cabinet or bracket repairs 6 . Documentation Upon completion of services , the contractor will provide : Updated inspection tags on each extinguisher A service report listing all inspected units Documentation of deficiencies and recommended corrective actions
