The Consultant will be responsible for providing a multidisciplinary team with expertise in coastal engineering, hydrodynamic and wave modelling, sediment transport analysis, marine infrastructure, environmental assessment, and cost estimating. Scope of Work 4. The work includes, but is not limited to: • Review of existing data and identification of data gaps • Field investigations (e.g., bathymetric surveys, current measurements, sediment sampling) • Analysis of hydrodynamic conditions, wave climate, and sediment transport processes • Assessment of shoreline evolution and Barrier Beach behaviour • Development and evaluation of multiple conceptual options to address sedimentation and operational challenges • Preparation of Class D cost estimates for each conceptual option • Identification of applicable regulatory and permitting considerations • Preparation of technical reports and milestone submissions Project Deliverables 5. The Consultant will provide a series of technical reports, including: • Coastal processes and modelling report • Sedimentation study and options analysis report • Conceptual construction costing report 6. The assignment will conclude at the conceptual design stage. Detailed design and construction services are not included. Project Approach 7. The Consultant is expected to undertake a data-driven, model-based analysis to: • Quantify sediment transport and sedimentation trends • Evaluate impacts of coastal processes and climate-related factors • Assess performance, risks, and environmental considerations of each conceptual option • Recommend a preferred option supported by technical justification
