AS NEEDED DEAD ANIMAL REMOVAL SERVICES

1 . Statement of Work : 1 . 1 The County of San Diego ( County ), Department of Public Works , Transportation Division / Roads Divisions I and II ( Roads ), requires as - needed dead animal removal services . 1 . 2 The resulting contract shall be used for the removal of dead animals from county - maintained roads and will be divided up into Lot 1 Division I and Lot 2 Division II . Each lot provides services to County cities in different regions of the county . Lot 1 covers Roads Division I located primarily in the southern region of the County . Lot 2 covers the northern region of the County . 1 . 3 The Contractor shall maintain adequate , trained staff for the term of the service contract to complete all terms and conditions , assigned tasks and routine , periodic and special requirements , etc . 2 . Removal Services : 2 . 1 The services required of removal of small dead animals from County maintained roads and properties or those that have been determined to be a public nuisance to include dogs , cats or any other species kept as pets , and wild animals such as coyotes , deer , skunks , etc . 2 . 2 The services required of the removal of large dead animals from County maintained roads and properties including cows , horses , etc . 2 . 2 . 1 Large equipment will be needed for removal of over 150 pounds . Must be provided by contractor . 2 . 3 The number of animals to be removed shall vary during a month .
