The White County Board of Commissioners is requesting bids from qualified contractors to provide for combinations of Asphalt Binder , Patching , Leveling , Overlay and Striping on Six County Roads in White County , GA . The Contractor shall provide all materials , labor , equipment , and other services necessary in the performance of this contract . PURPOSE OF PROCUREMENT The White County Board of Commissioners is requesting bids from qualified contractors to provide for combinations of Asphalt Binder , Patching , Leveling , Overlay and Striping on Six County Roads in White County , GA . The work will generally include : 1 ) Albert Reid Rd . CR084 - Level / Overlay / Stripe : From John Head Rd . to Asbestos Rd . 340 . 410 . 54 . 4500 . 084 Henry Nix Rd . CR056 - Binder / Overlay / Stripe : From SR115 to Chimney Lake Dr . 340 . 410 . 54 . 4500 . 056 2 ) 3 ) Kinsey Town Rd . CR062 - Level / Overlay / Stripe : From SR115 to SR384 4 ) 5 ) 340 . 410 . 54 . 4500 . 062 Underwood Farm Rd . CR191 - Patch / Level / Overlay and Stripe : From SR129 to Old Hwy . 75S 340 . 410 . 54 . 4500 . 191 Loudsville Church Rd . CR085 – Binder / Overlay / Stripe : From Hwy 75Alt . to Albert Reid Rd . 340 . 410 . 54 . 4500 . 085 6 ) Old Hwy . 75S CR251 - Stripe : From SR129 to SR254 340 . 410 . 54 . 4500 . 251 a ) Material Certifications and Job Mix Formulas for this Project will be presented to the Public Works Director prior to beginning work . All materials and their sources will be GDOT approved . b ) Leveling on Albert Reid Rd ., Kinsey Town Rd ., and Underwood Farm Rd . is to be 9 . 5mm , Type 1 at 40lbs per sq . yd . overlay shall be Type 2 at 130lbs per sq . yd . All leveling will be as directed by the Public Works Director or his Project Inspector . Patching locations , depths , rate of application will be provided to the contractor prior to beginning work . The milling will require use of equipment with a head width of no greater than 6 . 5 ft . width for patching . Patching on Underwood Farm Rd will be 12 . 5mm . c ) The contractor shall be responsible for clipping shoulders prior to beginning paving operations , as well as pulling loose soil back up to the edge of new paving in areas where soil is cut back to expose the edge of existing pavement . The Contractor will sweep the road free of loose soil that would interfere with striping . No separate payments will be made for this work but shall be included in the bid price for related items . d ) The width of paved aprons at turn - outs , at side roads , and drives will be as required to provide a smooth and well drained transition to and from the public roads and driveways as approved . At each and every termini , milling of the entire roadway width shall be required prior to resurfacing to avoid feathering of intersections . Side roads and driveways will be milled or sawed only as directed , and as needed . Termini milling or butt joints are incidental to the project .
