Description | The scope of work for this contract will be the Preparation / Installation of Asphalt Pavement for the Bio Char Project . The overall project staging will be done in two phases during the 2026 construction season : ( 1 ) Preparation and installation of plant mixed asphalt base . ( 2 ) Surface cleaning / preparation and installation of plant mixed asphalt wear . ( 3 ) The installation of this asphalt will not be done consecutively . The work to be performed by the Contractor includes the following items : A . Final grading class 5 aggregate to fine grade tolerance of +/- 0 . 05 feet B . Adjust manhole structure . C . Installation and compaction of plant manufactured asphalt base from a certified MNDOT asphalt plant . The installation of the asphalt base and wear shall occur concurrently in two back to back week days . D . Sweeping and disposal of debris for preparation of asphalt wear E . Installation of CSS 1h asphalt tack at an application rage of 0 . 08 gallons per Square Yard . F . Installation and compaction of plant manufactured asphalt wear from a certified MNDOT asphalt plant . |
