Description | Removal 1 ) Contractor shall demolish , remove , and legally dispose of all existing asphalt pavement within the project limits , see Attachment A - Architectural Site Plan . 2 ) Contractor shall saw - cut existing asphalt as required to provide clean , straight edges . 3 ) Contractor shall remove any failed subbase material as identified during demolition . 4 ) Contractor shall haul off all debris to an approved disposal facility . B . Preparation 1 ) Contractor shall subgrade and prepare the base layer . 2 ) Contractor shall inspect exposed subgrade for stability . 3 ) Contractor shall remove and replace unsuitable material if required upon Caltrans Contract Manager approval . |
