Description | The District is requesting proposals from Certified Public Accountants to perform the annual financial audit of the District in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and the standards applicable to financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards for purposes of rendering an opinion as to whether the financial statements are free of material misstatement . The audit shall also be required to satisfy the provisions of Federal OMB Circular A - 133 , Audits of States , Local Governments , and Non - Profit Organizations . This OMB Circular provides policy guidance to Federal Agencies in the implementation of the Single Audit Act Amendments of 1996 ( P . L . 104 - 156 ). The financial statements are prepared in compliance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board Statements . |
