Contractor ( s ) must provide monthly face - to - face and virtual coaching , evidence - based professional development , resources , and technical assistance to adults working with students that have an autism IEP eligibility in schools serving students who are IEP eligible under IDEA - Part B ( Kindergarten through 12th grades ) throughout the state of NM . Contractor will work collaboratively with the Office of Special Education ( OSE ) to evaluate training topics , delivery methods , on - going support and coaching for the New Mexico Autism Project ( NMAP ). The coaching and training should be designed to support individuals working with students with autism by increasing their knowledge and use of evidence - based practices in a variety of school settings , increase classroom management skills , including understanding how the classroom environment can affect behavior , and understanding of additional documents / legal requirements that can / are used in the educational context for students with an autism eligibility . Contractor will develop and provide both online and in person training , resources , and professional development opportunities for LEAs participating in the NMAP . Contractor will develop webinars , podcasts , or other asynchronous trainings about autism - specific topics ( ex : reinforcement , resources , or strategies ), particularly those related to the topics / strategies used and determined to be beneficial or effective in the school context ...
