Description | This Contract is for the purchase , installation , maintenance services , software , communications and parts for remote avalanche control systems in Colorado ’ s mountain corridors . These systems mitigate avalanche hazards to the roadways and allow CDOT personnel to conduct avalanche control operations remotely . CDOT currently uses and intends to continue using proprietary avalanche mitigation systems from the companies listed in this Contract . CDOT is requesting estimates and bids for deployment , maintenance , software and parts to establish contracts for procurement . Each vendor should provide pricing for their proprietary systems for consideration . CDOT intends to establish contracts and pricing agreements with vendors for avalanche mitigation systems to streamline installation , operation and maintenance of high reliability , safety sensitive systems . Deploy remote avalanche control systems that allow CDOT to perform effectively while reducing employee exposure and improving winter mobility . See more |
