Description | The project includes structural repairs to the bridge and associated roadway improvements to address documented deterioration and scour . Work items include , but are not limited to , removal and replacement of degraded concrete ; preservation and replacement of reinforcement bars as necessary ; epoxy injection of concrete cracks ; application of waterrepellent treatments to exposed concrete surfaces ; asphalt paving repairs along roadway shoulders ; and replacement of guardrails , pavement markings , and signage . Drainage improvements include scour countermeasures consisting of removal of existing riprap and installation of a new concrete apron and gabion baskets at the outflow . |
