Masonry : Block installation , concrete placement , concrete finishing , and allied structural tasks . Carpentry & Glazing : Framing , awning repairs , basic demolition , full - service glass replacement , integrated casework , door and hardware installations . Minor Painting & Finish Work : Interior and exterior painting and other general finish - related scopes for use by our Maintenance Department . Supplemental Support : Any additional labor , materials , equipment , permits , dumpsters , or rental resources required to complete assigned tasks in a compliant and timely manner . All services will be performed on an on - call basis to support district facilities initiatives . Bid Requirements & Performance Expectations Qualified bidders must align with the following operational , financial , and administrative criteria : Procurement Compliance Contractors shall first source materials or rental equipment from existing , board - approved procurement channels when available . In the absence of an approved contract , all purchases must reflect competitive market pricing . Contractor Equipment Readiness Contractors must maintain an adequate inventory of essential construction tools to reduce dependency on tool rentals and ensure rapid mobilization . Mandatory Pre - Project Estimates Prior to notice to proceed on any individual project , contractors must provide the Maintenance / Construction Director with a no - cost , itemized estimate , detailing : Apprentice and journeyman labor hours Material costs Equipment rental Permit requirements Applicable markups ( as defined below )
