Description | The City of Amory has been awarded a $ 400 , 000 Grant from the MS Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks through LWCF Projects . The grant will cover playground equipment , benches , litter receptacles , borders , safety surfacing , matts , construction of a pavilion , sewer / water / electrical , two basketball courts , a portion of beautification for the area including irrigation control and signs . The total award amount for the playground construction is approximately $ 240 , 000 . Maximum total area provided for the build : up to 80 ’ by 90 ’. We will later be bidding on basketball court restoration and creation as well as shade structures , benches , bike racks , trash receptacles , and pavilion area with tables . |
