Proposer Responsibility The Contractor selected for the agreement will be responsible for construction of the Biosolids Drying Facility Process Improvements , as follows : • Installation of a liquid sludge surge / day tank , sludge feed pump , including all associated piping and other work . An existing grinder and grinder control panel will be relocated from the Digester Building to serve the new sludge feed pump . • Replacement of cake pump and cake pump discharge piping with a new horizontal reversing screw conveyor and an inclined screw conveyor , including all associated work . • Installation of dust hazard mitigation equipment , including all associated work . 2 . 2 . 2 City Responsibility The City ( and the City ’ s Contract Operator Synagro ) will continue to maintain oversight and facilitate operations and maintenance of the facility , as follows : • Operations and maintenance of all liquid wastewater processing at the WWTP . • Operations and maintenance of the Biosolids Drying Facility , including sludge dewatering and drying . 2 . 3 Objectives Through this solicitation and subsequent selection of Contractor , provide improvements to the Biosolids Drying Facility as shown on the Contract Documents .
