Sealed proposals endorsed “ BIRD AVENUE PHASE 1B PROJECT - Contract # 7 - 26 ( W )” will be received from contractors by the City of Birmingham , at the office of the City Clerk , located at 151 Martin Street , Birmingham , Michigan , until2 : 00 P . M . local time , on Thursday , February 12th , 2026 . The proposals will be opened and publicly read aloud at that time . Bids submitted after the exact time specified for receipt will not be considered . A pre - bid meeting will be held at the Birmingham City Hall building ( 151 Martin Street , Birmingham , MI 48009 ) onWednesday , February 4th , 2025 , between9 : 30 - 10 : 30 am . Bidders should meet on the 2nd floor , near the engineering department at the east end of the building . Attendance for the pre - bidmeeting is OPTIONAL , but recommended for general contract bidders . General Description of Work : This project includes sewer lining , replacement of storm and combined sewers , water main , and pavements within the work area . Major work items include : approximatley 1 , 277 linear feet of sewer lining , 263 linear feet of mainline sewer installation ; 972 linear feet of sanitary service replacement , 960 linear feet of new water main ; 390 linear feet of water service replacement ; 3 , 109 square yards of pavement removal and replacement with new concrete pavement with integral curb ; 454 square yeards of new concrete driveway approaches ; 1 , 675 square feet of new concrete sidewalks ; 970 square yards of lawn restoration ; and other items to make a complete project . Bidders shall review and comply with all Contract Documents , and supplemental information , as defined in the Information For Bidders . Bidding documents for this project must be obtained electronically through the Michigan Inter - governmental Trade Network ( MITN ), which may be accessed athttps :// www . bidnetdirect . com / mitn . Vendors wishing to obtain copies of the bidding documents will need to register through the MITN website . Electronic versions of bidding documents will be posted to MITN startingThursday , January 22nd , 2026 . The successful bidder shall be required to post bonds , and to comply with the contract requirements of the City Charter . Bids are firm , and no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty ( 60 ) days after opening of bids . Procurement for the City of Birmingham will be handled in a manner providing fair opportunity for all businesses . This will be accomplished without abrogation or sacrifice of quality and as determined to be in the best interest of the City of Birmingham . The City reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals , to waive any irregularity in any of the bid proposals submitted , and to accept any proposal which it shall deem to be the most favorable to the interest of the City .
