SPECIFICATIONS  Because of the nature of this project all square footage , dimensions and locations of areas are approximate . TASK 1 – Lot 15 o The Contractor shall pulverize approximately 85 , 000 square feet of existing asphalt pavement to a depth of six ( 6 ) inches , thoroughly blending the pulverized material with the existing subgrade to create a stabilized base . Upon completion of pulverization and base preparation , the Contractor shall furnish and install three ( 3 ) inches of new compacted asphalt pavement across the same 85 , 000 square foot area . The work will also include raising one ( 1 ) water valve to match the new finished surface elevation . The Contractor shall furnish and apply a Type II slurry seal over the full 85 , 000 square feet of newly installed asphalt to enhance surface durability , weather resistance , and overall pavement longevity . Upon proper curing of the slurry seal , the Contractor shall re - stripe the parking lot to match the existing layout , applying two ( 2 ) coats of traffic paint , with the second coat applied approximately 20 days after the first . Handicap parking stalls will be refreshed with one ( 1 ) coat of paint in compliance with current accessibility standards .
