Description | This project consists of the demolition of an existing Steel Beam Continuous Bridge and the construction of a replacement Reinforced Concrete Haunched Slab ( R . C . S . H .) Bridge over the Middle Branch Emma Creek in Harvey County , Kansas . The existing bridge is a 3 - span , 110 - foot - long structure with a concrete deck , abutments , and piers . The replacement structure is a 120 - foot - long R . C . S . H . bridge with a 28 - foot - wide roadway . Associated improvements will include concrete approach slabs , steel guardrail , embankment grading , riprap slope protection , and roadway rehabilitation and reconstruction . The roadway rehabilitation and reconstruction will include full - depth repair , base construction , and a 2 ” mill and overlay . The construction will include temporary and permanent erosion control measures , traffic control , and signing |
