Description | TVNZ seeks quotations for the supply and implementation of Broadcast Headend Compression Infrastructure and related services. The infrastructure will underpin the delivery of Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT), Direct-to-Home (DTH) services, and live streaming. This project is a critical step in replacing end-of-life components within our current environment and ensuring continuity of service for millions of viewers.Proposed solutions must provide a robust, scalable architecture capable of supporting multiple concurrent channels and delivering high-quality content to both national and international audiences. Reliability and resilience are paramount, with multiple layers of redundancy required to safeguard against service interruptions.TVNZ is open to solutions deployed on-premises, in the cloud, or as a hybrid model, provided they meet stringent performance and security standards.Respondents must demonstrate proven experience in delivering live broadcast infrastructure at scale.The RFQ contains a Pre-Condition which must be met to enable the Quotation to be considered.TVNZ is planning for full system deployment and functionality by March 2026. |
