Brownfields Qualified Environmental Professional

The City of Atlanta ( the City ) Department of City Planning ( DCP ) is soliciting proposals for a Qualified Environmental Professional ( QEP ) for environmental consulting services to coordinate , direct and conduct the Work Plan that will be completed with a US Environmental Protection Agency ( EPA ) funded FY 2025 Brownfields Assessment Grant ( grant period July 1 , 2025 to June 30 , 2029 ). The City of Atlanta may amend or extend this contract beyond the initial term to accommodate the terms and conditions of the FY22 Brownfield Revolving Loan Fund Grant and future supplemental awards and future EPA grants awarded to The City of Atlanta within this term period provided a market survey conducted by City of Atlanta indicates that the prices the contractor proposes are reasonable . The FY25 Community - wide Brownfields Assessment Grant provides funding to inventory , characterize , assess , and conduct cleanup planning as well as community involvement activities as specified in the attached Cooperative Agreement # 05D49325 . The Qualified Environmental Professional , as defined in 40 CFR § 312 . 10 ( attached ) will conduct Environmental Site Assessments and cleanup planning at brownfield sites in Target Areas , shown in the map : Groundwork Atlanta / Chattahoochee River , the Proctor Creek Watershed and Jonesboro Road to promote their remediation and redevelopment .
