The contractor shall furnish and install the following new HVAC equipment : One ( 1 ) 2 . 5 - ton heat pump system Three ( 3 ) 3 - ton heat pump systems One ( 1 ) 12 , 000 BTU mini - split system , including indoor and outdoor units The 12 , 000 BTU mini - split indoor unit shall be relocated and installed above the entrance door to the mechanical room , at a location approved by the owner and in accordance with the manufacturer ' s installation requirements . All equipment shall be new , unused , and compliant with current energy efficiency standards . Mechanical Installation Set and secure all HVAC equipment in designated locations Connect to existing or new ductwork , refrigerant piping , and electrical systems Modify piping , supports , and penetrations as required to accommodate the relocated mini - split indoor unit Seal and insulate piping and penetrations as necessary A condensate pump for the relocated mini - split indoor unit may be required if gravity drainage is not feasible . If required , the pump shall be furnished and installed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and applicable codes . Electrical and Controls Provide all required electrical connections and disconnects Install and program thermostats and controls Coordinate with licensed electrician if required Refrigerant and System Start - Up Evacuate and charge the system with manufacturer - approved refrigerant Start up the system and verify proper operation Balance airflow and adjust settings to ensure optimal performance Testing and Commissioning Perform operational testing of all system components Verify heating , cooling , and control functions Confirm system operates within manufacturer and design specifications Cleanup and Disposal Remove all debris , packaging , and old equipment from the site Leave work areas clean and free of hazards upon completion Documentation and Training Provide manufacturer warranties and product documentation Instruct the owner or designated representative on basic system operation and maintenance
