Bus Services for 2026 Summer Fun Program at Various Parks

The Contractor shall provide round trip Bus Services for the Department of Parks and Recreation ’ s 2026 Summer Fun Program from various parks on Oahu to the various sites ( and at the specified times ) listed in Appendix C : Pricing / Certifications , Exhibit A . Use of this contract shall be mandatory for the Department of Parks and Recreation ( DPR ). Technical / Performance Requirements . A . Bus Capacity . 1 . Children ( under 12 years old ) Excursions . One ( 1 ) bus shall carry a minimum capacity of fifty - four ( 54 ) passengers , fifty ( 50 ) children ( under 12 years old ) plus four ( 4 ) adults on a bus with seating arrangements as follows : a . Some children may sit three ( 3 ) per seat . b . Adults shall sit two ( 2 ) per seat . 2 . Teen Excursions . One ( 1 ) bus shall carry a minimum capacity of forty - eight ( 48 ) passengers ( 12 years and older ) on a bus with seating arrangements as follows : a . Passengers shall sit two ( 2 ) per seat . Despite actual bus capacity , seating arrangements as specified above shall be strictly adhered to . However , the Officer - in - Charge ( OIC ) or the OIC ’ s designated representative , reserves the right to change the seating arrangement and shall decide the number of children and / or passengers that can be seated in a bus , but not more than as allowed by Federal , Hawaii State and City laws , ordinance rules , regulations , statutes and guidelines . The Contractor may substitute a bus with a capacity to accommodate for more passengers with above specified seating arrangements or seating arrangements as determined by the OIC or designated representative . In this case , the City reserves the right to decrease the number of required smaller capacity buses for any bus excursion as specified herein . The substituted larger capacity buses shall be provided at the same unit price listed in Appendix C : Pricing / Certifications , Exhibit A for the specified excursion .
