General Requirements The contractor shall provide mowing services on the following Conservation Areas in Camden , Miller , and Morgan Counties in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated herein and to the sole satisfaction of the Department : a . Camden County 1 . Brown Bend Access 2 . Larry R Gale Access 3 . Shawnee Bend Access b . Miller County 1 . Bagnell Dam Access 2 . Osage - Tavern Access c . Morgan County 1 . Coffman Beach Access 2 . Gravois Mills Access Performance Requirements The contractor shall provide the following services on each awarded area : 1 . Trash Removal and Area Inspection a . The contractor shall pick up any litter or small limbs in the service area prior to mowing . The contractor must dispose of litter in a manner consistent with all applicable rules , regulations , etc . promulgated by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services . The contractor shall be responsible for all permits , fees , and expenses related to disposal of litter collected . b . The contractor shall immediately notify the Department if large items , tires , hazardous materials , or other items prohibited by law from being disposed of in landfills are found on the area . The Department shall be responsible for the removal of such items . c . The contractor shall immediately notify the Department of any vandalism or any other items in need of maintenance . 2 . Mowing and Trimming a . The contractor shall mow and trim grass to a height of three inches , maintaining a mowed area of five feet around all interior roadways , parking lots , boat ramps , cantilever signs , and restrooms , unless other directed by the Department . b . Mowing shall not be permitted when the ground is so wet that mowing operations would cause rutting or otherwise damage existing turf . c . The contractor shall use extreme care to avoid scraping , cutting , or otherwise damaging permanent objects , including but not limited to signs , trees , and shrubbery , during mowing and trimming operations . d . The contractor must cease mowing when visitors are in close proximity to the contractor ' s equipment and will continue only when that person or persons has moved a safe distance from the mowing area .
