The Owner will not consider or accept any bids from contractors who are not licensed to do business in the State of California , in accordance with the California Public Specifications include , but are not limited to : Contract Code , providing for the licensing of contractors . In accordance with Section 3300 of said Code , the bidder shall have a Class “ 15 ” license and shall maintain that license in good standing through Project completion and all applicable warranty periods . Contractors must be certified Tandus carpet installers in order to provide a bid . Contractor shall assume full responsibility for the protection and safe keeping of the products under this contract , stored on the site . The Contractor will be expected to adjust their work schedule to accommodate the District ’ s needs , as summer sessions will be taking place on site . If subfloor repairs arise , please notify District contact immediately . Base cost will include 4 ” rubber base on all walls . Entry mats will be installed with Abrasive Action . Entry mat size will be 4 ’ x 4 ’ unless otherwise noted . Pull and replace all thresholds . All existing current floor covering will be taken up and base floor prepped for new carpet per manufacture specifications . Additive pricing will need to be provided . Adhesive , floor crack fill , cement leveling or any other material required for installation or floor prep will be included in base bid . All rooms will have furniture removed by District team prior to installation . All standard single door will have a 4 ’ x 4 ’ abrasive . Double doors will have an abrasive which matches the width of the door and go out 4 '. Transitions pieces will be mounted flush to avoid trip hazard when walking on and off carpet . Tandus flooring products have been Board approved as a District Standard . a . Color selection : Tarkett Applause III , Night Light 28531 ; b . Wall Base : Burnt Umber B ( Johnsonsite ) or equal 100 Black Rubber Base ( Roppe ); For LVT specifications see Mowhawk manufacturer ’ s specifications . Prior to LVT install , all exsting flooring is to be removed and prepared to manufacturers specifications .
