Description | The New Jersey Municipal Excess Liability Joint Insurance Fund ( NJMEL ) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to serve as Underwriting Manager for the Fund ’ s Property and Liability programs . The selected firm will market , negotiate , and secure excess insurance and reinsurance placements ; evaluate and maintain underwriting data ; prepare renewal documentation and coverage schedules ; coordinate policy issuance and endorsements ; analyze exposures and loss trends ; and provide technical underwriting support to the Executive Director , Claims Administrator , Safety Director , and affiliated Joint Insurance Funds . Through this Competitive Contracting Request for Proposals ( CCRFP ), NJMEL seeks an experienced underwriting firm with substantial expertise in public - sector property and liability risk financing , excess market negotiations , and the unique operational and regulatory requirements of joint insurance funds .
