Description | The Town of Islip is requesting bids for the project which includes Streetscape Improvements and full curb - to - curb roadway resurfacing along C . R . 17 ( Carleton Avenue ) from Clayton Street to C . R . 100 ( East Suffolk Avenue ), with improvements at the Smith Street intersection . Work consists of removing and replacing curbs , sidewalks , driveway aprons , curb ramps , lighting , signage , and select trees . Proposed work includes installing new sidewalks , curb ramps , drainage structures , street trees , planting areas , pedestrian lighting , pavement markings , and gateway elements . Existing traffic signals will be upgraded with accessible pedestrian features at Clayton St . and Second Ave . |
