Description | Contractor shall provide treatments consistent with the following seasonal schedule : • January / February : pre - emergent , post - emergent , spot spray , turf insect control ( as needed ) • March / April : fertilizer , broadleaf weed control , turf insect control ( as needed ) • May / June : fertilizer , broadleaf weed control , crabgrass control , spot spray • July : Fertilizer , broadleaf weed control , insect control ( as needed ) • August / September : fertilizer , broadleaf weed control , spot spray • October / November : pre - emergent , post - emergent , fire ant control ( as needed ) • December : lime application ( as needed ), spot spray Aeration : • Spring aeration shall be performed to reduce thatch and alleviate soil compaction on designated athletic fields and turf areas • Aeration shall be coordinated with County staff to minimize disruption of play schedules The Contractor shall provide , at minimum , the following services : • Fertilizer applications ( granular and / or liquid as appropriate ) • Pre - emergent weed control • Post - emergent broadleaf weed control • Crabgrass control • Turf - damaging insect control • Fire ant control ( as required ) • Lime applications ( as needed based on soil conditions ) • Core aeration ( spring service ) • Spot spraying as needed • Sprinkler repair services ( Freedom Park – as needed ) Applications shall be weather dependent and performed in accordance with agronomic best practices for athletic and recreational turf in North Georgia . |
