Cold and Treated Water Meter Standardization

CCWD ( Contra Costa Water District ) is soliciting meter samples for inclusion in an evaluation that will identify and prioritize viable meter technologies for use in CCWD ’ s treated water service area . Participation in this evaluation will result in submitted meters being tested and ranked to inform CCWD ’ s treated water meter evaluation and standardization process . Firms wishing to participate will submit 5 / 8 ” meters to be screened against CCWD ’ s Minimum Requirements and , if met , will then be moved forward for Performance Testing as defined herein . Only products that meet CCWD ’ s Minimum Requirements will continue through the Performance Testing process . Firms selected for Performance Testing will be asked to provide annual pricing for 5 / 8 ” through 2 ” meter sizes starting with the five - year period FY27 through FY31 . CCWD ’ s standardization program may continue for as many as five additional annualized periods based on annual options for renewal through FY36 ( 2035 ), at CCWD ’ s sole discretion . Optional renewals will take into consideration the meters ’ ability to meet CCWD ’ s current 25 - year replacement program based on satisfactory test results and performance , any manufacturer ’ s proposed price increases , and compatibility with future advanced metering infrastructure ( AMI ) technology requirements .
