Description | Tree Specifications and Quality Standards Species and Quantity • 30 Tulip Poplar ( Liriodendron tulipifera ) • 30 Ginkgo biloba ‘ Autumn Gold ’ Size and Form • Minimum caliper : 3 . 5 inches , measured at 6 inches above grade • Trees shall have a single straight leader with well - spaced , structurally sound scaffold branches The selected contractor ( s ) shall be responsible for all labor , materials , equipment , and services necessary to complete the project , including : • Procurement of healthy , high - quality trees meeting all specified requirements • Transportation and timely delivery of trees to the planting sites • Proper site preparation , including soil amendments where necessary • Professional planting in accordance with ANSI A300 Standards and ISA Best Management Practices for Tree Planting • Installation of tree stakes ( when necessary ), mulch application ( 2 – 3 inches , pulled back from the trunk ), and initial watering at the time of planting , through completion of the contract |
