Description | The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System , ( referred to hereafter as “ MTS ”) seeks proposals for the purchase and installation of a collision avoidance system to be installed on one 60 - foot New Flyer XN60 model year 2021 articulated bus . MTS plans to utilize the collision avoidance system as part of a test pilot that is anticipated to last at least 2 years . During this timeframe MTS will evaluate the effectiveness of the system and help determine if the system could be installed on future bus builds and / or retrofit the existing bus fleet . |
