SPECIFICATIONS FOR COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE CONTRACT These specifications set forth the minimum requirements for communications equipment maintenance services for the City of Florence , Alabama . The technical standards contained herein establish the minimum acceptable levels of performance necessary to ensure reliability , longevity , and the proper operational functionality . Compliance with these specifications is mandatory . 1 . Bidder must identify where their business is located . Proximity to the City of Florence will be a determining factor and must submit proof of a minimum of five ( 5 ) years continuous experience to date in the field of radio communications , system design , installation , and maintenance . The bidder must have full - time employees with a minimum of three ( 3 ) FCC licensed technicians that will be servicing equipment on a daily basis and two ( 2 ) equipment installers with a minimum of two ( 2 ) years ' experience . The bidder must supply a photocopy of the technician ' s license with the bid . Only those people shall work on the equipment and if a new technician is hired or replaced , proper certificates must be submitted within two ( 2 ) weeks of starting to work .
