Description | Summit County Government (“ County ”) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or consultants to complete a comprehensive update of the Summit County Community Wildfire Protection Plan ( CWPP ). The selected planning area is the entirety of Summit County , Colorado . The purpose of this project is to identify current wildfire risk conditions , incorporate updated geospatial data , strengthen cross ‑ boundary coordination , and maintain eligibility for state and federal wildfire mitigation funding programs . The selected contractor will lead a collaborative , science - based , and community - driven planning process to update the existing CWPP in accordance with current standards outlined by the Colorado State Forest Service and the U . S . Forest Service . |
