Description | The scope of this procurement is to acquire , install , and support four advanced microscopy systems that will significantly enhance the University of Oregon BioFoundry ’ s capabilities in biological imaging , materials characterization , and surface metrology . The selected vendors will provide complete , turnkey solutions , including : Spinning Disk Confocal Microscope For fast , high - sensitivity imaging of live and fixed biological samples , including super - resolution functionality via optical reassignment . Point - Scanning Confocal Microscope For high - resolution , spectrally flexible imaging of biological samples and tissues , with modular capabilities to add multiphoton ( MP ), FLIM , and SHG for advanced applications . Industrial Inspection Microscope ( accommodating 8 - inch wafers ) For semiconductor , wafer , and material inspection using reflected and transmitted light with motorized contrast switching , ergonomic optics , and digital capture . Confocal Metrology Microscope with 3D Optical Profilometer For nanometer - scale surface metrology using hybrid technologies ( confocal , WLI , focus variation ), with NIST - traceable accuracy and advanced surface analysis |
