Description | 1 . Scope includes all construction activities . 2 . Provide preconstruction services , including continuous cost and milestone ( DD and CD ) estimating , constructability feedback , material availability information , long lead items , project phasing , logistics , and project scheduling , to support the design process . The intent of involving the Construction Manager in the design process is to arrive at the project that brings the most value to the Owner in terms of scope , budget , and schedule . See Attachment B - Collaborative Project Approach which describes the project delivery approach being used by the Owner , owner ’ s representative , and architect . 3 . It is required of the CMAR to competitively bid reimbursable direct costs and subcontracts . CMAR will include the Owner , owner ’ s representative , and architect in the development and selection of the competitively bid trade partners in an “ open book ” manner . |
