Description | The Texas Historical Commission seeks a general contractor firm that has documented experience with historic building rehabilitation projects of the type, scale and scope described in this RFP. Contractor must have a MINIMUM of 8 years’ experience in construction similar to the type of work required by these Contract Documents (as judged by THC) to be eligible for contract award. Preference will be given to respondents who have completed similar projects. THC requires all work to comply with all applicable Federal and State laws, codes, and standards. The Project includes the rehabilitation of all existing steel casement windows at the Elrose Building as well as replacing the existing wood framed windows with steel casement windows to match originals. This solicitation will include a submittal of company experience and qualifications focusing on projects of similar size and type, and their pricing. A mandatory pre-proposal conference and guided tour of the building interior will be held on June 9 & 10, 2020 @ 10:00 AM , located at 108 W. 16th Street, Austin, Texas 78701. You are required to attend one of those days. _Failure to attend the mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference will result in rejection of proposal_. Please include Site Visit Form (Exhibit N) in your RFP submitted proposal- The site manager or a site representative will need to sign off the Site Visit Form (Exhibit N).
