The City of Pleasant HIll is currently seeking bids for a qualified service provider to the mowing services for multiple properties owned and maintained by the City of Pleasant Hill , MO . Scope of Work The general scope of work consists generally of mowing , weed eating , blowing of cut grass off sidewalks , parking areas or landscape beds , moving items in the greenspace as needed including the picking up of loose trash or debris prior to mowing . SCOPE : The City of Pleasant Hill is seeking bids for Contract Mowing & Trimming Services . Bid Item 1 : Priority 1 Mowing & Trimming of City Parks & Facilities . Bid Item 2 : Priority 2 Mowing & Trimming of City Parks & Facilities . Bid Item 3 : Priority 3 Mowing & Trimming of City Parks & Facilities . SPECIFICATIONS : General 1 . Each Property shall be bid separately or if preferred cost can be by acre ( according to sheet provided ). 2 . Mowing Season to be considered begins April 1 ( or the activation date specified by this contract ) through October 31 for a total of 31 weeks for the season . 3 . The successful bidder shall observe all ordinances regarding the obstruction of streets and driveways , maintaining signals and open passageways , and protecting the same where exposed . A . Proper safety precautions shall be used at all times and shall remain the successful bidder ' s responsibility . B . The successful bidder shall provide supervision of all work crews at all times while performing work under this contract . Personal supervision is not required provided that equipment or other means are provided that enable the work crew to communicate with the successful bidder at all times . Each work crew shall have a designated person on the work site who has the authority to respond to inquiries about work details or priorities . 4 . The successful bidder shall be responsible for providing , maintaining and transporting all necessary and customary equipment , tools and fuel needed to fulfill the contract . In no event shall the City be responsible for any damages to any of the successful bidder ' s equipment or clothing either lost , damaged , destroyed or stolen . 5 . Work must be done to the satisfaction of the department . If not completed to the department ' s satisfaction , the successful bidder shall return and complete at no additional charge . 6 . It is the contractor ’ s responsibility to furnish all equipment necessary to perform the work needed . Equipment shall be kept in good and safe working order . 7 . Grass height shall be mowed at 3 . 5 ” at all sites . 8 . Trimming around all structures , trees , shrubs , and flowerbeds is to be completed during every visit to the site and shall be at the same height as adjacent mower cut . Trimming is required at all sites .
