a ) Obtain square footage of affected area for service unless entire building is infected and the square footage can be the facility square footage . b ) Generally , trapping devices should be used for rodent control inside occupied buildings . All these devices will be concealed from view and in protected areas so as not to be affected by routine cleaning and other operations . The majority of the trapping should be conducted after normal school hours , holidays , weekends , or in coordination with the Plant Services representative . The trapping devices used must be approved by the Plant Services Department and checked regularly per the plan submitted at the inception of the trap , seal and remove process . The contractor is responsible for the disposal of all trapped rodents or rodent carcasses . c ) During the trap , seal and removal process the traps need to be inspected daily for potential rodent removal . d ) Identify potential entry points and seal these up so rodents cannot enter the building .
