The purpose of this project is to repair deficiencies in the current door operations and weather seals . When done , the doors must open and close properly and consistently , work with the Lenel door control system , and function properly when the automatic door opener is activated . Functions must include : • Door position monitoring so that a notification is sent to the Lenel system if a door is not fully closed for more than a designated amount of time when the system is in lock mode . • When the Lenel system is in lock mode , the west door opens automatically when the interior door operator button is pressed . In lock mode , the west door opens automatically when the exterior operator button is pressed ONLY after the Lenel card reader unlocks the door . Clean , adjust , repair or replace door components to provide proper operations . Utilize existing power supplies unless replacement is needed for compatibility with new components . As a minimum , replace the following components : • Replace the exit devices and all related latch / lock components with new . Von Duprin 99 Series with electric lock / unlock functions . Re - use existing key core on the east door . • Provide a new aluminum threshold to match the existing . • Provide all new weather stripping on both doors , top , bottom , and sides , to prevent air infiltration when fully closed . • Provide a new closer on the west door , appropriate for high traffic use and capable of closing doors of this size and weight , even when overcoming wind . • Provide a new low - energy power door operator and connect to the interior and exterior operation buttons . Operator shall be designed to function properly on exterior doors of this size and weight .
