SCOPE OF WORK The Department of Public Safety , Division of Administrative Services , is soliciting proposals for janitorial services . Building areas to be cleaned include all bathrooms , conference rooms , administrative offices , stairs , entryways and floor mats , hallways , stairs , break rooms , classrooms , and refrigerators . The cleaning will be between the hours of 6 : 00a . m . to 6 : 00p . m . on Saturdays and 6am to 6pm on Sundays . Minors under age 18 are prohibited from performing work on this contract or being on the job site during performance of contract . During all work performed under this contract , only the persons cleared by a background investigation will be permitted in the building . The State shall provide all necessary supplies and equipment for cleaning the DPS Crime Lab at 4805 Dr . Martin Luther King Ave . Anchorage , AK 99507 . The Contractor shall be responsible for keeping the state informed as to the inventory of cleaning products and supplies . The Contractor will use all cleaning solutions at the manufacturers ’ recommended strength . DELIVERABLES The contractor will be required to provide the following deliverables : Janitorial Duties : The following tasks shall be performed during each janitorial shift : Building wide : • High and low dusting • vacuum all carpeted floor surfaces ( including mats and underneath mats ) • Mop all hallways , stairs and break areas • Glass cleaning • Empty all trash containers and dispose of in the dumpster , then replace soiled liners • Clean waste baskets on an as needed basis • Vacuum conference rooms and classroom • Clean and disinfect exterior refrigerators weekly and interiors monthly • Elevators disinfect / clean stainless / mop floor • Disinfect all handrails in stairwell and hallways • Vacuum the indoor / outdoor mats at entrances • Clean windows on entryway doors inside and out • Clean classroom by wiping down all tables and countertop surfaces Restrooms : • Clean and disinfect all plumbing fixtures , mirrors , doors , handles , counter tops , and all other surfaces • Sweep and hot mop / disinfect the floors • Replenish as necessary all soap and paper dispensers ( Paper towels , seat covers , toilet paper ) and maintain stock for a two - week period As needed : • Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning products and supplies for at least a two - week period • Spot clean carpet • Clean glass surfaces • Clean window ledges • Notify Crime Laboratory contact person of any problems or areas of concern • Other tasks assigned or incidental to maintaining a clean building
