Description | The project consists of the renovation of approximately 39 , 015 gross square feet of an existing campus facility located at 3381 Marine Street in Boulder , Colorado . The building , originally constructed in 1967 , will be adaptively reused to support campus storage functions and provide dedicated occupiable training space . The renovation includes selective demolition , architectural reconfiguration , and significant upgrades to building systems . Major work elements include :• Interior demolition and abatement as required • Reconfiguration of interior spaces for storage and business occupancy • Installation of new fire alarm and fire protection systems • Mechanical system upgrades including a new rooftop unit serving occupiable areas and electric unit heaters for freeze protection in storage areas • Electrical distribution improvements and new LED lighting systems • Plumbing modifications including installation of ADA - compliant restrooms • Accessibility upgrades including ramp improvements • Limited exterior improvements and roof modifications to support mechanical equipmentThe project includes a combination of Storage ( S - 2 ) occupancy and Business ( B ) occupancy within the renovated building . The Business occupancy portion will support classroom and training functions , while the majority of the building will serve storage purposes . See more |
