The SOUTH PLAINFIELD School District is seeking proposals for qualified consultants to provide audits of curriculum guides in Language Arts and Social Studies ( Grades 5 - 6 ) from the date of award , through June 30 , 2026 . SERVICES SPECIFICATIONS Scope of Service : The South Plainfield School District is accepting proposals from qualified consultants to provide audits of curriculum guides in Language Arts & Social Studies ( grades 5 - 6 ), covering essential knowledge and skills needed to support teachers effectively in improving student learning outcomes . The vendor should have an established framework to be utilized by the teachers . The consultant will use a learning management platform to provide the teachers guidance and the appropriate outline to make curriculum changes that blend the curriculum standards and unit guide goals . The consultants will also formulate an outline for pacing guides in both Language Arts & Social Studies ( grades 5 - 6 ). The vendor will provide a focus on inclusion of grade level appropriate best practices , resources and activities with regards to state standards and mandates for curriculum revisions in Language Arts & Social Studies ( grades 5 - 6 ). • Scope of Service : The selected consultant shall work with the district to create the following : Learning Management Platform Page for the curriculum writers . • A detailed outline of adjustments that could be made to the Curriculum Guides in Language Arts & Social Studies ( grades 5 - 6 ). • A detailed outline for Pacing Guides in Language Arts & Social Studies ( grades 5 - 6 ). Making use of District Resources : • The consultant must become familiar with district resources & suggest the best implementation for instruction . Instructional Strategies and Differentiation : • The outlines should address the diverse needs of students based on their academic levels and the specific needs . • The consultant will offer suggestions on how to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students . • The development of the learning management platform and professional development for administrators will support teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies in the curriculum guides . • All suggestions and goals should be aligned with the New Jersey State standards and recommendations . The Language Arts & Social Studies Curriculum Audit : This professional development and project development should be in the form of an electronic learning management platform creation and professional development meetings with administrators beginning March 2026 – June 2026 that includes : 1 . 0 . 5 days of professional development for administrators . 2 . 4 days for the curriculum audit , development of a learning management platform with an outline for revisions to be made by the curriculum writers . An outline for the development of pacing guides that bridge together the Language Arts & Social Studies curriculums ( grades 5 & 6 ).
