This kit is essential for the field - level maintenance and repair of the C - 17 aircraft electrical wiring systems , ensuring operational readiness in various environments . The kit must contain all Boeing - approved tooling for stripping , crimping , and terminating wires and connectors as specified for the C - 17 platform in Technical Order ( TO ) 1C - 17A - 2 - 00WD - 00 - 1 .
