Specification / Requirement Meets Requirement The system shall consist of a Distributed Acoustic Sensing ( DAS ) interrogator unit with the necessary auxiliary hardware and software for operation and data acquisition . The system shall include fiber optic sensing cable and associated components suitable for deployment in trenches on the surface and within underground mine environments . The DAS system shall be compatible with standard fiber optic sensing cable installations used for distributed sensing applications . The system shall support an adjustable gauge length between 2 m and 5 m to allow flexible spatial measurement configurations . The system shall be capable of monitoring a minimum fiber sensing distance of 8 km along the sensing cable . The DAS interrogator shall operate using a power supply compatible with 100 – 240 VAC or equivalent DC input options . The purchase shall also include manufacturer - provided training covering installation , system operation , maintenance procedures , and proper data handling and management .
