DCS CHANNEL CUT MONOCHROMATORS

Procure four ( 4 ) channel cut crystal monochromators to be used to in each of the experiment hutches at the Dynamic Compression Sector ( DCS ) located at the Advanced Photon Source ( APS ) at Argonne National Laboratory ( ANL ) in Lemont , IL . Each monochromator will be used as a diagnostic tool for mapping out the spectra of the DCS x - ray beam so that the user can use the information to properly interpret their data in support of their experimental campaign . MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Technical Specifications per attached Dwg DCS - CC - 400 . pdf • Single Crystal Growth Methodology : High quality floating zone technique • Material : Silicon 220 reflection +/- 3 arc min • Dimensions ( with tolerance +/- 200 µm ): 110 mm length x 15 mm width x 19 mm height • Channel width tolerance : +/- 0 . 1 mm • # of Optical Surfaces : 2 o Inside surfaces of the 95 mm and 30 mm structure are the optical surface o These two surfaces form the " channel " • Surface Quality : S / D Minimum : as etched • Surface Flatness : as etched • Angle of Incidence ( AOI ): 2 . 9 deg to 25 deg • Xray energy : 22 keV to 80 keV
