December Snow Damage Backstop Replacements

This Project consists of demolishing and disposing of the existing , damaged backstops at Dimond Park Field # 1 and Savikko Park Field # 4 , including all foundations and other associated buried appurtenances and replace with new Patterson Williams 19 ’- 6 ” x 44 ’ Hooded Backstops with Three Planks – Model # 1234 - 03 . All excavation , backfill and restoration of ballfield topping to lines and grades found existing prior to construction . The Contractor shall salvage all field topping from the surface of any excavations prior to commencing any digging to remove / install fence posts or install the new fence anchoring system . Upon installation of backstops and fencing , the Contractor shall replace the disturbed ballfield surface with the salvaged field topping , regrade and compact to uniform preconstruction grades and conditions . Additional work items shall be closely coordinated with the Engineer as project funding allows : The Contractor shall demolish and dispose of the existing backstop and install the new backstop at Mendenhall River Elementary Baseball field per the contract documents .
