Description | The overall objective of the contract will be to support the further steps in the implementation of a harmonised noise assessment regime under the END. In carrying out the tasks the contractor should build on the CNOSSOS-EU methodological framework (JRC Reference Reports, Common Noise Assessment Methods in Europe (CNOSSOS-EU) — to be used by the EU Member States for strategic noise mapping after adoption as specified in the Directive 2002/49/EC — April 2012) developed to date. More specifically:1) structure design and creation of the CNOSSOS-EU set of input values (road, railway and industrial noise) under a chosen free format (database, specific format files, etc.);2) implementation of the CNOSSOS-EU software for testing purposes (road, railway and industrial noise) with open-source technologies;3) development of guidelines on the competent use of the CNOSSOS-EU framework (road, railway, industrial and aircraft noise) and creation of a website describing those guidelines. |
